Is Billiards a sport?

Is billiards a sport? This is the question. If you watch ESPN then you have seen at some point in time a billiards tournament. Whether it is as match or an trick shot match. So if it is on ESPN then it must be a sport right? I would like to think so. I watch ESPN every chance I get. Some people think that games like billiards is not a sport because there really is no team and there maybe no strategy involved because all you do is hit a ball into a pocket. So this is the question to be answered. What do you think?
